Bears, Bears and more Bears. As is
our practice we spent this summer photographing in
Alaska. Our Summer weather, really more like an extended
Spring, did not lend itself to magnificent landscapes instead Ron found
himself photographing wildlife. In particular
Bears. Ron had a ball
photographing a group of Grizzly Bears who
had taken to fishing in a salmon spawning stream not far from
Seward. A trip to
Lake Clark National Park
provided more great opportunities to photograph Bears as well as a rare
opportunity to photograph breeding Puffin.
To take a break from wildlife we made a trip to the quaint village of
Halibut Cove in Kachemak Bay.

In Spring we
returned to Alaska and headed straight to Cordova
to witness the shorebird migration on the Copper River Delta, part of
the Chugach National Forest.
This is an annual event and simply one you must witness if you ever have
the opportunity. We will spend Summer in Alaska as well.
Check back as we will updating the website throughout the Summer months.

Looking for warmer
weather we headed South this winter. Due to much needed rain
in the Sonoran Desert this
winter we were lucky enough to witness a nice display of spring
wildflowers first in Anza-Borrego
Desert State Park and then later in Arizona
where we spent time in Saguaro National
Park, McDowell
Mountain Regional Park, Phoenix and
Scottsdale and other towns in the
surrounding Maricopa County.

Fall of 2007 found
us covering quite a bit of country. We started our trip where we
left off in the spring,
Grand Teton National Park. From there we traveled to
Nevada where we spent time in
Reno, Carson City, Sparks,
Virginia City and
Lake Tahoe. Unexpected cold snowy
weather moved us on our way to Las Vegas
where we spent some time at Red
Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire
State Park. We ended our trip in
Zion National Park.

What little time Ron
had in Alaska this summer he spent in Southeast,
Alaska. Where he visited the communities of
Haines,
Ketchikan,
Juneau and Skagway. Ron also
spent some time in British Columbia
and Yukon Territory. |

This year we tried
something new for our spring trip we left much later than normal in
hopes of catching spring in full force in the Lower 48. We were
not disappointed. Our first stop was the
Las Vegas area. While updating our
Las Vegas stock we also captured the neighboring
Red Rock Canyon.
Next we visited Yellowstone
National Park where we enjoyed all the Park has to offer in spring.
The wildlife was exceptional, with baby
bison,
elk, and
coyote. We finished our trip in
Grand Teton National Park
where we not only captured some wonderful
landscapes but added to our recreational
stock with activities such as climbing,
white-water rafting and
kayaking. |

Winter found us
traveling south looking for warmer weather and new photo opportunities. Ron
enjoyed photographing migrating birds
at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve
in San Diego county and in Amado,
Arizona. We visited the Phoenix area and added new stock photos of
Phoenix and
Maricopa County. Ron also
revisited some favorite places like Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
where he was able to capture some great photos of
Peninsular Bighorn Sheep.
While in the San Diego area we added
stock photo coverage of surrounding San
Diego county communities such as
Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and
Santee. |

This winter Ron
decided to try something a little different and concentrate on city
shots. Ron's photo trip took him to some new cities such as
Los Angeles and
Palm Springs. And he
returned to some previously visited cities like
San Diego,
Orange County,
Tucson and Las Vegas.

Following Ron's
adventures on the Dalton Highway he once again took to the Alaska
Highway and headed for the desert Southwest. First stop the
Canadian Rockies. Bad weather made this a short stay but Ron did
add some great Big Horn Sheep pictures to
our photo library plus some interesting shots of
Banff National Park. Once in
the Lower 48 Ron concentrated on the states of Utah,
Nevada and Arizona.
He revisited some old favorites like
Sedona,
Bryce National Park,
Dixie National Forest,
Lake Powell / Page,
Antelope Slot Canyon and
Arches National Park.
Looking for new adventures Ron also visited
Capital Reef National
Park, Great
Basin National Park,
Canyonlands National Park,
and
Dead Horse Point State
Park, Monument Valley, and
New Mexico. |

Fall (in Alaska!) of 2005 (early
August) found Ron driving the Dalton Highway, also referred to as the
Haul Road. Wildfires burning along side the highway made for some
early excitement. But once past the fire the beauty of the Brooks
Range, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Gates of the Arctic National
Park and Arctic Coast awaited him. Visit our
Dalton Highway / Prudhoe Bay /
Brooks Range section for more photos. |

Ron 5 weeks in the spring of 2005 in the desert

Organ Pipe
Cactus National Monument,
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park,

California Central coast. As well as the Northern
California coast and the beautiful Redwood
National and State Parks in California. |
 |
|
Our spring 2004 trip
also took us into
Oregon and the beautiful Columbia
River Gorge and Hood River areas. |

|
|
Spring 2004 also
found us in the Eastern Washington Palouse
area with its rolling hills and farmlands as well as Spokane,
Washington. |
 |
|
Winter 2004 in Alaska
offered great photo opportunities with winter
recreation, winter landscapes and the Bald
Eagles in Homer. |

|
|
In winter 2004 we
thought we would escape the cold and snow of Alaska only to find
more cold and snow as we visited Bryce
National Park in Utah and Grand
Canyon National Park in Arizona. |
 |
|
Continuing our
winter trip we headed to warmer climates in Sedona,
Saguaro National Park, the Sonoran
Desert, and Tombstone in Arizona.
As well as Las Vegas, Nevada
and Southern California. |
